Hi,

did anyone apply to this school or is a current student of this the smc nursing program?

I applied last october and i know i am in the waitlist but how long did you guy have to wait to get in or to be called? who else is still waiting? In the mean time did u guys take those required classes such as pharmacology, etc., before entering the program?

I applied last October as well and still haven't heard anything. I'm taking Pharmacology at Moorpark College in the meantime.

i go to smc as well as applied to the program this semester. from what i was told the wait is 2-3 semesters. so if you applied in october you might hear something for fall of this year. the counselor told me the spring group had students who were only on the wait list for 2 semesters. the counselor also suggested taking the pharmacology and dosage and calculations class while you're waiting. if you don't, you will have to take the classes while you're in the program and before they allow you to move to the 2nd semester of the program you have to pass the class.

okay i think i should take those classes. do u think they'll have those classes during the summer?

so what was the process when u got in? after the call did u take the entrance exam? and also did u already take those 2 required classes?

can those classes be transferable to smc? i remember the counselor told me that i would have to take those classes there. is there any other schools that offer those classes?

I'm not in the program yet. I applied March 2010. From what I was told, they will contact students within 6 months of their application date to take to test. As far as if they will accept the classes from another school, you should call and speak with a counselor. But also if you applied to other schools you should check with them as well. Not every school will accept those two classes from another school. I know Glendale and Pasadena dont.

Did you get accepted into the program for fall 2011?
