Has anyone applied for these schools for Spring 2014? I've been looking for recent threads, but haven't found any so I decided to start one :) It's a tough road to RN, so maybe we can all go through this together!
Also, anyone know how Rio Hondo point system works? There's nothing on their website that says how they add up points. Just wondering where I stand.
Ohoh, and I also applied to Pasadena City as well as Cypress College, but there are already threads for those. But we can talk about them here as well :)
I just received an email today from PCC saying I was accepted with contingent that I passed the Teas test scheduled on Nov 12 (which I already took and passed). I will forego my spot at PCC cuz it's too far. Good luck to you.
just called rio Hondo and they said letters will be sent out November 15. I thought it was a phone call- Do you think they called all of the applicants who got in all ready and now they are sending denial letters?!
I was just wondering what your status is for Santa Ana? I hope you got in or at least made alternate

I didn't get in, I had less points than I thought. I haven't been on cause I've been kinda disappointed and sad about it, but I am finally okay with it now. I don't think with my grades that I'll get in anywhere right now, but I'm planning on retaking anatomy and Physio and finishing my bachelors. I guess it isn't my time yet, but that's okay cause I plan to apply to schools when I graduate in the next two years :)
On another note, thanks for being here going through this with me! I'm so happy and excited for you!!! Maybe when I do decide to apply again you can give me tips on the nursing prgram, cause you'll be about done when I get there! Congrats girl! You deserve it!
Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that. Yea, I understand your disappointment, but don't give up. I heard some people took them a couple of semesters applying to different schools before eventually getting in. on November 12.Look, come February, you can apt to Cerritos and lbcc which are lottery and you just have the same chance as everyone else. Then there are golden west college and saddleback. I know people with 3.0 Gpa on science prerequisites that got in both those school. So, just keep on trying, you will make it :)

Tried replying via private message but it won't go through until I have used the site more. Weird. Anywho. I will let you know if I get a call. But, my guess is that they already phoned the people they picked. The letters are probably rejection letters

Heyrenee, I'm not certain. However when I turned in my application the secretary told me if I get picked they would let me know in 3 weeks from the deadline. Unless something has changed, that's all I know. :)
