Nursing Students School Programs

Hey guys! Just wanted to open a forum sharing our status, points, and advices.

I counted 77.5 points when I dropped off my application today...hope that will be enough!

I got my acceptance letter today!!!

I received my acceptance letter today. I calculated 68 points (did not have any work experience points), but I am a St Joseph Health employee.

Has anyone got a denial letter yet? I live pretty far away (near by San Jose) and still haven't gotten anything. I am wondering if the people who got theirs acceptance letter got it mailed as urgent.

I live in Northern California also and I got my rejection letter on Monday. It wasn't mailed as urgent, just regular usps. Good luck to you!

Im sorry to hear that!! That is very strange that I haven't heard anything yet:/

I made #8 on the alternate list :nailbiting:

That's pretty good Lauren! Last semester they took a large portion of alternates into the program so have faith. :saint: Just for the other students lingering on this forum, how many points did you earn?

Thanks Crystal! I'm pretty hopeful but still worried that people won't be declining their spots. it seems like it can vary per semester. I calculated around 70, but I'm assuming they didn't give me the full points for some of the categories like work experience.

Congrats on those who got accepted!!! Will any of you be asking for ECP placement?

I might, as I just got hired for a variable/per diem position at a hospital. It seems I may have some night shifts to work, so ECP may be a better choice for me.

My preference is the ECP. To my understanding most people prefer the traditional, but the fact I work at St Joes along with my schedule and commute the ECP is perfect for me. If wasn't for that I would of looked st other traditional programs that have higher nclex pass rates. Especially since they changed the curriculum who knows how it will affect the pass rates at this point.

To anyone who is on the alternate list I have some good news. One of my co-workers who got accepted to Santa Ana will be declining since she got into golden west as well, so there is at least one spot freeing up
