Even if you could, it wouldn’t make a difference because the ADN program only takes the first passing grade.

Yea that’s what I’m talking about why do they only take first passing grade? I don’t get why it’s a rule

No sure why exactly. I’m guessing it’s because a passing grade means you learned the material well enough to pass but unfortunately not well enough to land an outstanding grade, which could consequently affect your success in the ADN program.

Also another Quick question is there a cumulative Gpa requirement for the ADN program ? I’m currently doing my prereqs and looks like im going to end up with a B in physio so I’m thinking of trying to fail it out to get D . I’m wondering is there a certain cumulative gpa you have to be to apply to the program . Not science gpa but overall. . Sorry to bother you with these questions LOL

No, there are only 2 GPA’s that the ADN program considers: the Science GPA and the English/HS 19 GPA. Your overall GPA is not considered(thankfully lol). Also for the science courses, you are only allowed 1 retake before they reduce points.

I don’t really see that as a good plan. Getting a B the first time would probably look better on your transcript than a repeat (I could be wrong tho). That’s also quite a risky thing to do because you might end up with a C and be stuck with that grade. Delta might be lenient on 1 repeat, but I’m assuming you’re going to be applying to more than just delta, and some schools penalize for any repeats and I’ve even seen some schools that average out the grades of all attempts.

No there's no cumulative GPA for adn program. Classes that counts for your GPA are only bio 22,31,32 eng 1A, HS 19 and if you have taken either nutrition, pharmacology or medical terminology you'll get 1 additional point for that also.

But there's a deduction of -2.5 points for repeat. I'm not sure if they deduct after first repeat or second

Word of advice. Do not ever get a “D!” Go for the “F” if you’re dead set on it. A “D” is the gift that keeps on giving. Receiving a “D” is considered a passing grade, therefore not repeatable at the college you are taking it at. Every college could be different I suppose though. However, I wouldn’t do that. Get a “B”. It’s a respectable grade, then pick up your other science prerequisites to raise your gpa, it should still put you in the 3.67-3.7 science gpa range depending how many units they are each among the 3. You’ll be good don’t worry.

Furthermore, if you’re absolutely set on only applying to delta, than I would strictly adhere to their guidelines for the ADN. However, if you plan on applying other places, I’d look up their requirements and point spread and be mindful of that as you continue your prerequisites

Hey guys, any idea on exactly what kind of proof they’re asking for in regards to the vaccines. Like are they looking for a specific document that we get from our doctors or hospital stating when the immunization was given? Or just the sheet that your provider has to fill out for the vaccinations that’s included in the info packet?

I think you have to do the blood test to show the immunity that you have positive titer. If you don't, then all the information what date it was given etc etc.

Even if you get a B in one of your sci prereqs, do your best on teas. Try to get in high 80's then your chances of getting in are high. If you do good on your teas one B is not gonna affect you

Hey guys!
i still haven’t received an email with the packet or anything... does anyone know why?

Sunshine was working on it yesterday. May be you'll receive it today. I also didn't receive until late evening yesterday.
