#Spring2021

Published

Hello everybody I just thought I make a forum for those who are applying Spring 2021. Had a question on how we send our transcripts if we did all our pre-req's elsewhere

Its been 5.5 years. I'm still on study visa here and I don't see any way of getting residency until you are a student

That puts a huge financial damper influencing your available options.. I am sorry it so much more expensive. Are you going to Stan or Delta? Is there anyway you can apply for scholarships or receive any extra help outside of FA?? I don't understand why it's so expensive its crazy

International students are not allowed to apply for financial grants. It all out of your pocket. I already spent 45k on my pre-reqs. If I go to stan state it would be 60k for me. Thats too expensive for me. I would rather go to Delta which'll be around 15k-18k for me

I agree. Most of the Sacramento area junior colleges list the total price of everything at around $6000.  There are a lot of variables to that, as they include health screening, vaccines, supplies, parking costs, etc., so some people will have less costs. The schools I looked at listed first year start up costs at around $3000, but again, it depends on your personal situation. Yuba college has an excellent breakdown of exactly what those costs are .  It is helpful to see exactly what you might be expected to pay for.  I screenshot Yuba city colleges’s first semester’s estimated costs. I will post it below. ?

Hi everyone! Where did everyone else apply to? Just MJC?  Ugh so competitive!

Are they going to wait until after the final date to accept your spot in the program to send the informational packet?

Most likely yes

Anyone giving up their spot? If yes, please share your points. It'll really help alternates
