San Jacinto vs. Alvin Comm. College Recommendations?

Published

Hello all!

I am currently in the process of applying to several ADN programs in the Houston, Tx area-namely San Jacinto and Alvin. I have yet to speak with anyone firsthand who has successfully completed either program, though I have heard very mixed reviews about San Jac, through the grapevine. I would love to hear from anyone who has actually attended either school and get some feedback regarding your experience.

Following. I've heard San Jac students get more skills practice but Alvin's NCLEX first attempt scores were hire when I was researching them. The few graduates from San Jac I know refused to go to a BSN program after their experience in the program because they said it was so horrible but that can also just be their personality. I'm interested to see what input anyone else has.

I've heard the same thing from the few San Jac grads that I know. That makes me VERY nervous í ½í¸©. Not a good sign. A friend of mine just spoke to a woman who is currently on in the program and she states that neither she nor anyone else in the program would recommend San Jac. Really hoping I get in to Alvin now.
