Hi,
I turned in my application last week! I was wondering if you knew anyone who got accepted with pending pre req's?
i.e I am taking College Alg and Micro this Fall and I could not get a score for them. (meaning my score is like a 16-all A's in other pre req's 81 on HESI and 3.5 GPA)
Also, do you know anyone who got accepted into the program who had failed any biology's (but obviously took again and made an A or B)?
Thanks for your help

I don't know of anybody personally that had pending pre-reqs but as long as those classes are finished before the start of the program you will be ok. I think with those scores you have a really good chance on getting in.
Also I don't know anybody who had failed any biology's but I do know that they just look at your highest grade. I had repeated A&P 2 because my grade was a D. I had dropped Micro because I wasn't passing it but received a B on the second try. They just look at your highest grade. You have great scores, so you have a really good chance. Good luck.
I'm not sure what was the cut off for last semester but I do know that as long as you passed the HESI with a cumulative score of 75% or more you have a pretty good chance. I made an 82% cumulative and I was accepted
I scored an 87% so i guess i should be ok. Do you know how many were accepted into the program?

Yes for the Fall semester they accepted 110 I believe. I forgot the exact number but it was around 110. 30 of the students were placed in the evening class and the rest in the day class. San Jacinto College makes up an evening class every two years. I'm not sure if they do both Fall and Spring but last Fall they started the evening class.

Just decided to start this forum for the Spring 2013 ADN program at San Jacinto College. I can answer some questions regarding the application process. I got accepted for the 2012 Fall program but I dropped out of the program a week in school because I was accepted into a BSN program.
