So I'm creating this post for all applicant to the San Jacinto nursing program for fall of 2014! I'm so excited to begin this journey after a lot of thought of whether i should do LVN or ADN and i have finally made my mind up. Good luck to you all! Do you mind sharing where you are in the process. Only been back in Houston for 2 months and have made my check list of what i need to complete before 05/01/14.:)
I went by the nursing secretary's office yesterday and she said it would be another 6 to 8 weeks until we will know if we are accepted or not. Someone in my class that has a friend in the rn program said that everyone that met the minimum requirements got accepted when she applied. I think was screws a lot of people up is the hesi because you have to get at least a 75 on each section, not just your overall score. Good luck everyone!
So that is not cool!!! For those of us who also applied to the lvn program and got in! We are now having to wait 8 more weeks to find out if we got into the RN program!??? what are we to do cause we have to already pick up our packet this month!!! So now what do we do??? we are screwed big time. Ugh!!!!
Jessiemilton00 what are you planing on doing about the conflict that we are now having to deal with? Seeing that you also got into the lvn program and now we have to wait until about July to know about the RN program. What are we to do cause we have to pick up our packets this month for lvn but we are still wAiting to hear from RN. We are going to lose money cause we have to get all of our stuff together for the program before having the choice to pick the program that we want.
They are not thinking about the students! They need to think that this isn't the only program that some students applied too. If you did what they say to do you applied to other schools. Now they are taking too long and it's messing up students! It shouldn't take that long to say if your in or not! 3 months way too long!!!!!
Well even though we pick up the packet the orientation isnt till later right?? so we dont have to pay anyting yet I am hoping for LVN.... They said 25-30 Days and now thier saying more -_- this is not cool ... Iam gonna call them after MAy 17 and strt bugging them lol
Jessiemilton00 we have to go pick up our packets next week and then after all that then do orientation but we still have an issue cause were still waiting to hear from the RN program.
ya the wait is horrible..... well at least the orientation is after the 13th of June so I am hoping the RN dept well let us know before that ..... Iam going to wait till the 17th of may and start calling them and ask cuz they said 25-30 days!!!
