I also received an email saying they had an overwhelming number of applicants for only 8 open positions. More than 1200 applicants applied to those positions including me. Unfortunately, I wasnt selected either. What can I do now? This seems like an hopeless case. I wont be suprise as the number of unemployed new/stalled grads increase by the next coming months. Yet I kept on hearing nursing shortage everwhere. Nursing schools are milking their students with this nursing shortage dilemma. I personally have heard this quite a number of times. Im even suprise that my nursing instructors then havent even heard of allnurses.com. Does your professors know about it?
Hi. I also applied to the New Grad Program and have not heard or received an email. If I may ask, when did you turn in your application? Did you mail or hand it in? Did you get an interview? I wonder if they would still send rejection emails to all the applicants. Sorry for all the questions. Just curious.
sorry, dont feel bad. they didnt even look at your app. they are getting so many applications they are eliminating people on criteria such as bsn ect... i havent heard yet but i am sure i wont be one of the 8 out of 1200 chosen even with bsn, acls/pals, cum laude, native san franciscan and contacts within sfva. i was told i wasnt qualified for a new grad program on reno. when i called to find out why, i was told they were only taking internal apps.
Hi I also applied, I sent my application in on Dec. 7th via mail and I too didn't receive any emails or other notifications. I hope they post an official message if they have already picked candidates so we aren't all hanging. Since the starting date of the program is Feb. 14 we should be hearing more information soon.
