A 50% chance of getting in is better than I thought. Thank you for the info and gave me hope for getting in!

No problem! Also, what email did you get updated on when your status changed? Was it your personal email? Bc I only got an email when my application was received, but I logged in and it says in progress since the first week of march

My personal e-mail is where I get notifications. Mine show "in review" since beginning of March also.

40 ? ? I didn’t expect that many to apply. Well I guess I have a 50/50 chance too.

Hi guys ,

I just spoke to -------------------- and she said 230 applications were received for the ADN program.

wow OMG thanks for this info that's interesting to know...I honestly thought it'd be way more than that.

Also does anyone know if they send out rejection/denial letters? I have a coworker who graduated from the nursing program at SDCC and she said that they do send out rejection letters, but if you mess up your application, they don't inform you at all; they just toss out your application. Which is really scary to me and now I'm hoping that I did everything right. I'm not sure how true that is though...she graduated a few years ago.

I would email ----------------------- and ask.

Hi Nina..we have 230 at the moment but a number of them do not qualify due to TEAS scores or GPA. Sometimes students just don’t realize what the requirements are

Well that’s good. They do require at least a 62 in each sub category for the TEAS.

aww man ...yeah I wonder if they'd inform the students or not....it would suck to be left hanging..

Not counting LVN applicants. Do you guys know how many students are accepted into the program.

Number of Students Accepted Based upon the San Diego City College Nursing Education Multi-Criteria point system, the program may accept up to 60 first year students every academic year for the ADN program and 10 students each Spring semester for the LVN-RN program. This is the program baseline enrollment.
