HI! I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone also applied to SMU for 2024 Fall. I haven't seen a thread on it yet

Well yea, that kinda is the main reason of not being able to attend to SMU. It's definitely a hard decision to make which is super understandable but smu is def one of the pricier nursing schools out there. End of the day a BSN is a BSN and you'll make bank 🤷🏽♀️

Also this is a really niche question but how strict do you think SMU will be about health compliance. When I immigrated to America, a lot of the vaccination records I had from back then are no longer obtainable. So I don't have a record for MMR or hepatitis B. I did a titer test for MMR and it showed to be negative for measles, so I need to get vaccinated for that. I'm probably going to do the same for hep. B but I don't know if the series will be completely fine. I'm honestly not sure who to email from SMU to ask about this. Any advice?
Do you have access to the student health portal?
I have been working on redoing a few bc even though I had them as a kid I didn't have immunity. Ask your doctor and you can redo the series you need and submit it through your health portal. I spoke w someone through the health portal and they said as long as I start the series and submit it and then finish it, it won't effect my registration. Hope this helps!
