HI! I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone also applied to SMU for 2024 Fall. I haven't seen a thread on it yet

I thought so too. Especially since that won't give us much time to get ready.

I went to the open house on Saturday to try to see if I could get some more information which I did. They said the start date I believe is the first week of September I forgot the exact number.

All of my friends have already been excepted to their schools and are planning moves by end of month.

Hi all, I called office of admissions again and the lady on the phone sounds so unsure of the status. I told her myself and a bunch of other students have been waiting 6 months on decisions for fall 2024 BSN program. I don't understand why they even extended the deadline if they can't stay up to date with applications. It's been the 4th month after the last deadline extension. We should hear back by now...

I can't even plan anything until I hear back from SMU smh

I called office of admissions yesterday and the lady said decisions come out 90 days after the application period deadline which obviously isn't true. and she said to keep checking spam because the email often gets lost there. I think she was as lost as we are tbh

Why are they telling us to check spam as if decisions are out?  They aren't out yet !!

Thanks, guys for checking in and getting info. smh, I guess we just wait. I agree, why would they keep extending the deadline if they can not keep up with the overflow? I did some research and it also seems like the guy of their head admissions for nursing was either laid off or quit in March. Their other head of admission (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) also quit/laid off? This could be a reflection of something the school is going through. (I also didn't know that teachers were the ones reading and deciding. I always assumed there was some special team. Either way, a lot of unclarity.

I know exactly who you are talking about. I think her name is (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). She was one of the head of admission people and quit back in march which really sucks be she is amazing at helping students with any questions and was quick to respond to emails
