Samuel Merritt University ABSN Fall 2023

Hi everyone. I wanted to start a discussion about the ABSN Samuel Merritt program for Fall 2023. I have applied to the Sacramento campus and hoping to get accepted. has anyone else applied? or be in the program I would love to hear more about it.

I also received admission to San Mateo and denied their offer, but they never sent me an email back saying I'll remain in the Fall Sacramento pool. So I don't even know what my status is. I also didn't receive an email for admission, denial, or waitlist. However, I have a friend who applied at the June date and she also has not heard anything. Maybe they are responding to applicants in order of submission?

I tried emailing yesterday but it says "external" email so I'm not even sure they received it. I'm stressed though, hoping for answers soon

Don't stress too much about it! I'm sure its nothing to worry about. I hope they get back to you soon. I might also try emailing just to make sure I did remain in the Fall pool. Let me know if they get back to you!

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone who was admitted who got into a second choice campus? I live in Sacramento but they gave me San Mateo I don't think there's much I can do about it but it would have been nice to be closer.

In for Fall at San Mateo.  When I was speaking to the counselors, they told me not to check Sacramento as a secondary choice if I really did not want to go there, otherwise I could get in there and be out of luck.

Thanks for your replying I didn't realize you can leave it blank. Guess I'll have to commute but at least it's only for a year!

I was admitted to the Sacramento campus today! So based on the trend I believe they are doing a rolling admission and sending out emails every Thursday. I submitted my application in late March so some of you guys might hear back next week. Good luck!

Congratulations! I received an email on Monday stating I'll receive my email this week or next. Crossing my fingers.

Hello,

I just submitted my application for Spring 2024 Sacramento campus. After I have been reading the reviews, I'm scared. I'm seriously scared right now. Can you all please tell, how is it like for first semester? How many classes are there in one semester?

Hi! 

We currently haven't started I believe sac campus starts August and San Mateo (my campus) starts in November so we are still waiting to register for classes. You can try to go to another forum and ask other students who have started. I also believe a current student posted in here saying most classes are online except skills workshops and clinicals.

The "Letter of Intent" is just us clicking accept and paying the $350 deposit right? They don't actually mean typing a letter and sending it to them.
