2010 Samuel Merritt Oakland ELMSN-FNP applicants?

Hey all:

I've been reading the forums for a while and I hadn't seen any discussion specific to the SMU ELMSN-FNP program in Oakland. I'm getting ready to submit my application...anybody else out there? I'd love to chat with other folks!

So I spoke with Karena today and she said that three people had declined admission already! Thought I'd pass on the good news. I was #1 so it looks like I'll be joining those who got accepted!... Now to tackle the financial aid issue... does anyone have any suggestions?

Wow, congratulations (too early?) EternallyOptimistic! Did Karena offer you an official spot in the program? Or do we still have to wait a while before they start contacting those on the wait list?? I'm still waiting to hear back from them...

Congrats eternallyoptimistic! I believe once spots open up Karena will email people off the waitlist. I got my email tuesday morning :0)

Omg! Congrats Pink Duckie! Haha, we were partners during our interview!! Maybe we'll be classmates in the fall if I'm lucky.. I was #4 on the waitlist.. and I haven't gotten any e-mails yet... I'm so anxious, and trying not to get my hopes TOO high...

Thanks, I got my waitlist letter Monday and I was officially accepted Tuesday... It's probably not too early to ask. Kareena's really nice over the phone so I'm sure she'll let you know whatever your status is! Good luck!

I was the same too..I had my waitlist form all filled out ready to send in then I got the email tues

If anyone is curious about their status definitely call karena..she is super nice and helpful! :0)

I was #3 on the waitlist and received word of acceptance on Tuesday via email. I believe that means you would be in the #1 spot. Good luck! And I agree with previous posters, Karena is very helpful but also very busy so she may not email you right away with any changes so I wouldn't feel too bad about checking in by phone.

Hey all,

This is my first time posting this thread. I was wondering if any of you have news of the waitlist positions? Last I heard, the people in #1-#3 waitlist positions have been extended acceptances by SMU. Has there been any movement since then? Thank you so much!
