Does anyone know How Samuel Merritt BSN count GPA?

they listed " Minimum 60 semester or 90 quarter unit GPA of 3.0 or higher" as one of the prerequsite,

do they count the last 60 semester unit GPA or the GPA of all college work?

When I went to visit the admissions person, she took out a paper and started writing my grades onto the paper. The paper had all the pre-req courses listed.

They take both your cumulative GPA and your prerequisite GPAs into consideration. I'm pretty sure they consider ALL college coursework in the cumulative GPA calculation because I have over 60 semester units and she looked at my calculated GPA on my unofficial transcript when I went in for an advisory session and used that when explaining the decision process.

Has anyone heard back yet? Looks like it may be time to start sending apps to other schools since many are due soon.

I'm pretty sure the due dates for other schools for fall 2010 is November 30th. As long as your application is postmarked before November 30th, you'll be eligible to be considered for that particular school. However, since it's SO expensive to apply, get transcripts in, get ATI scores in, etc. I'm definitely going to hold off on applying everywhere for fall 2010 until I hear back from SMU. They said that they'll notify us before mid-November when I called, so that still leaves atleast a couple of weeks to get our application packets together for other schools.

USF was already due on the first. I'm bummed because I looked at it that day.

When did you call? I tried calling on Friday but no one was available. The BSN admissions person was away and is on vacation until next Monday. I'm hoping that they'll be sent out soon. I don't really want to hustle to do apps.

I know that USF's app was due on the 1st, but I thought that was just for spring 2010 admission. Or was it for both spring 2010 and fall 2010? I applied in time thankfully so I'll still be hoping for USF if I don't get into SMU for spring. I also applied to HSU for spring. But apps for fall 2010 are due soon so hopefully I'll hear back from somewhere soon!!

I called sometime last month. They're used to me, I've been contacting them since like..March! I also don't want to hustle to do apps, but it sure beats the heck out of dropping over a grand on application fees when I don't need to! :)

Yeah, the first was for Spring. I just looked at it on the first but couldn't get it in. I'll work on some this weekend then have them ready to send off. I think State is due on the 30th for the fall.
