I am thinking of applying for the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt so I was hoping to get some insights on how the workload is like since I would prefer to keep my job while in school.
For those who have attended or is currently attending: What time does class start and end usually? How many days a week? How were clinicals like? and lastly.....were you able to work at least-part time?

Hey! I got there now and haven't been able to take on much part time work, however my part time job is writing/analyzing and my mind is too tired. I know people who have kept jobs as unit clerks, servers, etc. I think if you don't have to do a bunch of writing it could work but it's hard. There's something to do almost every day and then on top of that you have to study. Every week you have at least one exam, some weeks 2 or 3 exams. If you don't stay above a 72 average on your exams in every class you can't continue on in the program. It is more time consuming than I thought it would be.

Hi tn52, I am in the same boat now trying to figure out if I can make the Samuel Merritt ABSN program work. Did you end up decided to apply or go through the program? Thanks!
