Sam Houston State University Spring 2017 BSN

Hey guys! Anyone else out there going to apply to Sam Houston's BSN program for the Spring of 2017?? I saw there are no new forums so I decided to start one! Feel free to share GPAs and TEAS scores. I'm going to apply to the Huntsville campus when the time comes. Right now I have a 3.82 overall GPA and a 4.0 science GPA. I'm currently in Microbiology, Anatomy&Physiology 2, and Statistics, so those may or may not change! I'll also be taking the TEAS test next month and am very nervous!!! I know this forum is started early but I plan on keeping it active up until we know if we're accepted or not!

No, not yet but I'm signed up to take it Aug. 29th. And yes I am trying for the Spring! the woodlands campus

I got a 78 on my TEAS. It takes forever for October to come. How did you do on the retest?

I retook it and got a 79. my advisor told me the first round of acceptances will go out 7 days after the application deadline. Also, does anyone know how they go about grading the applications? I've heard two different things from two different advisors.

Hey y'all! I am applying for spring 2017, as well! I have a 3.7 overall for pre-nursing classes and a 78 on my TEAS. I am so nervous, I can't believe we'll know in a little less than a week!

Hi! Also applying for the spring 2017 semester to SHSU. I have a nursing gpa of 3.73 and science gpa of 3.75 and I got a 78 on the TEAS V. Ms. Colvin said they look at the reading and math areas of the TEAS primarily, does anyone know if that's true?

I've heard that but you can't trust what you hear! I wouldn't be worried if I were you! We should know around October 15th if we got in or not! Try not to stress

@TXAng my overall was 3.69, math and science was 3.4. my TEAS score was 79. I also got the bonus for being a shsu student
