I am starting this thread to connect with other students who are wanting to get into SHSU nursing program this upcoming fall. I, too, am trying to get into the program. Feel free to comment, share tips, scores, or any questions!

I made a 78 on my TEAS! I have a 3.7 GPA so idk if I should retake it or not.

If you get a C in one of the sciences (I got one in anatomy) Do we HAVE to retake it? I know they prefer a B, but my GPA is still a 3.67 with the C. I know physiology will be harder and I might get a B or C in that too. Can anyone give me tips? Thank you :-)

I am applying for the Fall 2016 semester at the Woodlands campus. I currently have a 3.68 Pre-nursing GPA, 3.61 overall GPA and I scored an 87.3% on the TEAS Test. I am SO worried I will not make it in because I am unsure how I compare. :nailbiting:

I applied for the main campus for the fall. I'm a CNA, so I get that boost, and my Pre-nursing GPA is a 3.77. My overall GPA is a 3.87, and my Teas is an 84. I've applied twice before, the first time with my GPA being a 3.1 pre-nursing 3.3 overall and 82 on the teas, and the second time with a 3.3 pre-nursing and 3.5 overall, and still the 82 on the teas. I feel good about this application.

I had a C in both micro and physio and had to retake both.

hello! I applied for fall 2016!

My pre nursing GPA is 3.81 and my overall is 3.77. After this semester it went down a lot more than I thought it would after getting one B. My teas test did not go well at all. I ended up with a 73 and I feel like that is not competitive enough to get in. Good luck to everyone that applied!!!!

Hi guys. I got accepted for the fall 2016 with a 3.84 GPA & 77 on the TEAS. I'm just a little nervous because the acceptance email was very vague & I have no idea what expect.
