Salem State ABSN 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I haven't yet seen a thread for Salem State's ABSN program for 2020 yet. I know they don't typically send out decisions until March/April (based on what I read from last year's thread) but wanted to start a discussion to keep track! I applied to Salem State, University of Southern Maine, and Curry College and am waiting to hear back from Salem and Curry!

I am currently in the program but I can’t in good faith tell you how the program actually is because COVID changed everything for my cohort.

I can tell you that this is the most affordable ABSN program you’ll find and that holds a lot of weight and is why most people choose this program. Any school you choose, you’ll get what you put into it. Don’t expect things to be easy or handed to you on a silver platter because they won’t be. But if you’re looking for affordability and the fact that you’ll get to sit for boards in 15 months and pay 1/3 the price of other programs, then I’d recommend Salem State.

Thanks for your response! It's been so hard to gauge with every school because of Covid. It's definitely the cheapest one I am applying to. Do you feel as though you will still be prepared for the NCLEX? Also, are your clinicals mostly in Salem or are they all around?

Hi,

Are you applying or did you apply for the May 2021 admission?  I applied and I haven't seen a thread on that yet.  I'm thinking of creating one.
