salary in tri-cities for new grad

U.S.A. Washington

Hi, my name is Abbie and I will be graduating with my BSN in May. I will be moving to the tri-cities area and was wondering what kind of salary I can expect. Also, does it matter if this is my second bachelor's (previous in chemistry), can I get higher pay? If anyone can help me out with this, that would be great!!

Specializes in SRNA.

My brother works at Kadlec in Richland in IT and I had him ask their nurse recruiter starting wages for a new grad (I was thinking about moving back up there sometime) and here's what he told me. Mind you, this was back in March of 2007 so it may be outdated:

Starting wage for RN with a two year degree is 23.55 and they get an

extra dollar per hour for BSN. Because most often they work night

shift, they get an extra 3.25 per hour for night. And if they work

weekend, they get an extra 3.25 an hour. So, if they work night and

weekend, they get an extra 6.50 an hour.

I really doubt your other degree would make a difference in the nursing world as far as pay goes, but you never know.
