Salary in Suffolk/Nassau Area

Hello, I am a senior in my BS nursing program and was just curious as to what are the different salaries in the area hospital such as Stony Brook and LIJ. I have heard that at Stony Brook the starting salary on a tele unit is about $75k where LIJ is around $80k. Also, current employees, what is it like working at these institutions and which one would you recommend?

-My goal is to work in SICU.

Yes, I do. And I am referring to the LIJ system which includes Southside as well.

A friend of mine just started at LIJ and she is getting 78k days and 85k nights.

I recently interviewed at stony brook and at southside. The salary quotes I received are for 2 years experience and with a BSN. Stony brook is $72,600 days or $78600 for nights. Southside LIJ is $86500 nights or $82,000 days.
