What is the salary for a full-time public school nurse by the NYC Board of Ed and/or a school nurse working in a college in NYC? I hear the colleges pay their school nurses more, but I'm curious. I couldn't find the salary info anywhere, not even on the Board of Ed website. I'm thinking about it for the future.

its a civil service commission job and therefore salary is public knowledge. you can start at nyc.gov and look under civil service

Because the NYC school nurse works 10 months of the year, it's considered part-time. But, there are still health insurance and other benefits throughout the full year. The title is JPHN, Junior Public Health Nurse, and it is paid by the hour. As of 2013, that hourly pay is $35.04/hr for either 6 or 7 hours/day. This is link to a job posting from September 2013:
