Hey guys so I'm a new grad and I'm applying for a SNF in California . What should I be getting paid ? Do most of them offer benefits? I'm so new to this I barely graduated high school and just went straight into nursing and now I'm blessed to be an LVN. Please reply guys

The answer to your question depends on the part of California where the SNF is located. In general, Sacramento and the Bay area pay more than southern CA and the Central Valley.
Also, wage deflation is a factor. Most parts of CA have more LVNs than can be absorbed by the local employment markets, so employers can get away with offering lowball job offers. After all, if you do not accept the offer, there's 50 nurses behind you who will take the job with no questions asked.

If you are a new grad LVN in Southern California, you must take whatever job offer you can get even if the pay rate is lower than you really want.Good luck to you!
