Hi everyone,
I am currently applying as a nurse for the UK under the new application process for foreign trained nurses and am already at the final assessment and application stage.
I am also registered in the US (I have a license in the Northern Marianas Islands and in Connecticut) and as per my employer, I need to declare my licenses there to the NMC as well.
I have had no problems reaching out to Connecticut regarding license verification. They replied to my email in 15 minutes. Contacting the Northern Marianas board, however, is a bit more on the difficult side. I haven't called them yet but based on what I saw in forums online, they are extremely difficult to get a hold of. I sent them an email last Friday and I haven't gotten any reply from them yet as of now.
To make things more complicated, my license there is already inactive. According to my employer, I do not need to renew it but the question remains as to whether they will verify my license for the UK given that it's expired already.
I plan to call them in a while and hopefully I can talk to someone but if not, what are my options? Hire a consultancy to help me with this? I'm even considering going to Saipan personally just to get things done.
This will be the hardest step in the process of application for me. Any insights/ suggestions or tips into the matter will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
