I'm seriously considering a travel assignment in St. Croix. Was wondering if anyone has had an assignment there recently. Wanted to know about apartments near the hospital. I heard there are some within walking distance. Anyone have any info regarding housing? Also, how far is the beach from the hospital?
Thanks!

Look up things on the internet, I did, apartments are from 800-1000, and the airport is far away, you might need a rental car. I almost took one for LTC, but had second thoughts

I live and work here in STX.
You need a car unless you live across the street in the trailer park, Peppertree terrace or down the street at Queens Quarters. YOU NEED A CAR here! Rentals are $650.00 the cheapest (im NOT lying) for the smallest car.
Please do not come if you are used to working at a state of the art hospital..and then complain about it. We are a good group of people who are hard workers and love travel nurses...unless they complain. Beach, sun and drink and enjoy!

GradRN2010,
I am interested in hearing more about STX. I am just starting to look into travel nursing in general. I am a NICU nurse with about 2 years experience. Do anyf of the hospitals there have a NICU? Do you have an idea about the pay, etc. I really know nothing about the area, or travel nursing yet. Just wanted to throw some questions out there :) This is also the first time I've gotten on this site in over a year.
I am in St. Croix now on assignment with Worldwide. Email
Me at [email protected] and I can give you lots of information.
