Hi everyone! Is anyone applying for Saddleback's Nursing program for Spring 2019? I thought I'd start a post so we can all share our thoughts and concerns; we're all in this together!
I applied last round (for fall 2018) and did not get in with 72 points. This time however, I will have 80. Fingers crossed!
Hi Amandap729,
It's still based on points. I spoke with the director when I was turning in my application. She told me back in September that they're only accepting 50 students this term. She also said that the alternate pool is based on points and depending on the cut off, they take everyone that meets that cut off point; meaning they won't take half of the students...
But that makes me wonder how they can do that if the number of spots are so limited. Another person said that now they're taking 55 this term; and 52 or 50 next semester... I'm hoping for 55.
Good luck to you and hope that helps... I'm also an alternate....
Hi Nurselife,
I also spoke with Staci. She's the senior admin and I was referring to her as the director, sorry for the confusion...
if you spoke with her after September, then 55 seems to be the current number.
Crossing fingers and I'm sure we're all anxious for these next few days!
Good luck to everyone!!! Keep us posted!
also, did anyone get on the alternate list with points higher than 76 and lower than 75?

Hi, I also got a letter stating I'm on the first pool of alternates at 75 points. They said there were 250 applications and 55 spots available. Congratulations to all that got in. Fingers crossed!
