I just took the TEAS and got a 74.8% overall with a 55% in science. I decided to take the HESI A2 the same day to see if I’d do better. I got a 80% overall and a 60% in science and my math score dropped to 74%. My score improved overall but I’m a bit depressed about my science and math scores. My GPA is 3.2 with a 2.8 in science, so that’s not competitive either. However I have an AS in health science, a certificate in medical assisting, over 2 years of healthcare experience, hospital volunteer experience, and I speak a second language, and letters from a doctor and the director of the hospital where I work. I’m hoping this will be enough to stand out for Samuel Merritt University because I do not want to take the exams again. I am extremely burnt out. I spent over 6 weeks studying and a lot of the things I focused on were not on the test. I’m really beating myself up about this.
