I've been researching various programs in the Sacramento are (specifically LVN). I personally don't want to wait for the typical lottery selection via community colleges.
My 3 choices of schools for LVN are
Carrington College
Unitek
Charles A. Jones
if anyone has any personal experience at these schools in their Vocational Nursing program I would love to hear it!

Hi,
There is also Brightwood College (formerly Kaplan, as mentioned below) in Sac. Carrington last I heard just offers the lvn to rn bridge but I could be wrong. Unitek & Brightwood I've heard mixed reviews on & they're very expensive. CAJ looks good, I'm actually eyeballing them myself for LVN they are cheaper & have a lot of positive feedback online. I gave up on the whole lotto thing at the community colleges long ago. I was actually COMPLETELY setup to begin LVN training at Xavier in Stockton, I had everything done just had to show up for class the next week & I got dx'd with an aggressive metastatic (CSF) Leukemia. Game over. I barely made it through treatment alive but I'm in remission & am looking to try school again. Currently a CNA & HHA. Love nursing. Well that's my input, hope it helps a little. Good luck!
There is also Curam and I was wrong; Carrington does have an LVN program.
