Hi! Anyone who got accepted at Sac City ADN Spring 2016? We can start posting here and get to know each other before the program even starts. Looking forward....

Thank-you so much for those tips. It is awesome to hear from a student that is in nursing program already, basically one semester ahead of us.

@abergr05 what teacher did you get? did you get to choose the professor?

There are 3 professors. They all switch off lecturing. But you will be assigned a clinical group/instructor.

@abergr05 did you buy the special nurse shoes? And what kind of stethoscope did you get? Do you need it the first semester? And what does the uniform look like?

Some people bought dansko's. I didn't because I'm a guy and think that even the men's ones look pretty feminine. You do need a stethoscope. It's recommended to get at least littmann classic, that's the most popular one. I got a Littman master classic 2. And the uniforms are horrible. Lol you'll see them at orientation.

@abergr05 See I don't know if we need to order before orientation or I could do after. I don't know what size to get. Because I know that different uniforms have different sizes, so I am wondering if they will have every size that we could check it out. What color is it?

You don't need to do anything before orientation. They will go over everything that you need.

@abergr05 WAIT...I thought we need to do all the requirements like flu shot and CPR license before Dec. 4th, which is a week before Orientation.

Go by what your packet tells you. I can only give my experience. For my class, we didn't have to do anything before orientation.

Thank you for all the tips! I'm anxious to get started. We have orientation next Friday and I'm hoping to be able to get started on preparing for the math test once they give us the specific information. Definitely want to pass it on my first try. My registration date is the 15th so I will order my books the same day. Thanks again!!
