I have heard that in the past they administered a CCRN type test and/or writing statement in addition to the interview. Does anyone know if this true? Looking at the invite schedule there is no mention of this.

I contacted the school and the lady said they are still reviewing applications. She also mentioned interview invites went out 3 weeks ago 😕

I feel chance of getting invited is slim at this point since there were only few slots left. For those invited, do you mind share a little bit of your background?

Everyone has different experiences and backgrounds. There's no one-size-fits-all all. I worked thoracic/step down for 3 years, then main PACU for 5, and transferred to CTICU where I worked only 5 months before applying. BSN 3.7, MSN in leadership 3.8. CCRN I barely passed. I retook statistics for an A. Shadowed for 2 x 8 hr days. For the extras, I was charge and precepted, co-chair and then chair of a council, and also was part of the nursing promotional ladder council. Not sure if this helps. I think anyone looking to apply needs to show they want it. The best way you can do that is through your resume.

Hey everyone,  good luck to those who got invited. 

Does anyone know if slots are left for interviews and if rejection emails have been sent?

I hoped that by now, they will send emails to those not interviewed as a courtesy. Let us know at the very least. The silence is not helping. Thanks!

Hey so I know from other universities that they send out rejection letters all at once- so I don't imagine you'll receive a rejection email until everyone has interviewed and decisions have been made. Unfortunately I do not see any slots left for interviews but you never know! Good luck
