Rutgers-New Brunswick ABSN Fall 2014

U.S.A. New Jersey

Hey all,

I just got accepted for Fall 2014 intake at New Brunswick and is wondering who else was accepted. I am looking forward to the craziness of this program.

Hey guys!! I apologized as I did not check this page after I got accepted into the program. I graduated from the program last month. When I applied to RU, I applied for New Brunswick cohort since it is close to home. Unfortunately, they did not accept enough students and I was told that I can start in Newark or defer for another semester. I then decided that I am willing to drive to Newark to get this program over with. It is a good school and provide many opportunities for their students in terms of clinical location, volunteer, internship etc. They even upgraded the sim lab which is top notch & I love it. However, the program itself is very disorganized. I still recommend incoming students to consider RU because something about RU that increase your chance of getting a job interview (I did not have a hard time to get a job interview). Good luck to all of you!!

Hey @nadia89 , thanks so much for updating this thread! I'm applying to the Rutgers ABSN program this year (Newark). I have been searching a lot of previous threads and they all mention the program is disorganized; would you be able to provide more details on this?

Also, I know its a full time program, but is it possible at all to work? Secondly, how were the instructors; were they generally supportive? Thanks in advance!
