Did anyone else on the thread find out? We're looking forward to being in Chicago next year :)

It's my second try unfortunately starting to think this isn't meant for me but I'm so happy for you all!!
That sucks Are you looking elsewhere? Rush can be a funny beast for admissions. It's hard to give up the idea of tuition reimbursement if you currently work there, I know (assuming that's the case?)

Hopeful crna - Is this your second time applying to rush? Were you waitlisted or denied the first time?

I got my email this morning.. I'm in!! I still can't believe it :) Good luck everyone!
Congrats!! It's a pretty sweet feeling, right?
Omg. AMAZING feeling. A feeling I've dreamt of for years now. Can anyone clarify -- I think someone told me the summer start option is optional. Is that accurate? That you can take some classes during summer to lighten your load but otherwise you can begin in Sept?
Thanks!
Yeah, you have it right. There are a few classes offered that you can knock out over the summer, but it's not mandatory. Does lighten the load for sure. Are you moving for the program or are you already in Chicago?
I'm from California so it would certainly be nice to work a few more months and not have to pay rent during that first summer, but of course being able to lighten the load makes a lot of sense, especially with such a big transition! Are you from Chicago?
Congrats to those admitted. What were your credentials/experience if you don't mind me asking?
Not originally, but spent a lot of time there previously. A lot of those initial classes are offered online as well as in classroom. I don't know how it works for our program exactly, but you might be able to take a class or two over the summer online and not have to move for the summer.
RN for 5 years, 4 of those in ICU and rapid response. CCRN, too. I have my MSN as my first nursing degree - did one of the accelerated programs.
