Does anyone know how hard it is to get in? UIC has posted the fall as being full, but will Rush? Do you have to reapply if spots are filled for the semester you list? Any thoughts about availability of clinicals in specialty areas?
Thanks!

Hi,
This is kind of a late reply but I applied very late to Rush and they accepted me in Aug and I started in Sept. It really depends on a variety of factors including which program you're interested in and how many students they already have, as well as how flexible you are. If you call them, they will tell you right away which programs are full for fall.
Good luck!

They also have a monthly open house so you can go check it out for yourself

Rush was very rude to me when I called. So rude that I did not apply. I don't need someone to be like that to me from the very first minute I call and ask a question. Not worth it no matter how great the school may be.
I think I know who it is you're talking about. She was very rude to me too during the application process. Everyone else is very helpful, nice, and knowledgeable- my advisor and all the profs I've had. Also, the classes have been great and many of them are offered online so it's very convenient.
The person assigned to me, Ms. Green, hasn't replied to a single email. It's been the secretary who's helped me at all. I'm just incredibly frustated that the isupport people won't respond to a techinical problem and since that problem wasn't corrected, my reference sent in a hard copy of her recommendation which has mysteriously disappeared. Oh well, the medical center hardly has any positions open anyhow so it's unlikely i'd get the waiver.
I'm sorry you're having a bad time with Rush. If there's anything I can do to help please let me know. The IT people have always been really helpful when I've called them.

You are so right! When I was looking into schools last year, I filled out the online request for info twice, got no response, called and left messages 2-3 times- none of which were returned, when I finally got on the phone with the person in charge, she was rude to me and told me she would send information on the program and never ever did I receive a thing. I'll be attending UIC in the fall.
This process is impossible. The person in charge of my file didn't respond to any of my emails- then now that the deadline is in a few days I get an email stating she doesn't have a recommendation when in fact she does. Why does the secretary seem to have to do her job for her? Anyone have an idea who is the director? I would love to write a complaint.

When I was looking at master's program, I was not impressed by their rigid application process dates.
I ended up choosing a program elsewhere partially because they were much more user friendly.
Well, I got in and am moving the first full week of Sept. Anyone else in Rush's NP program? I'd love to be able to talk with other students and have someone to talk to in the city.
