Hello everyone,
I will be taking boards approx. May 14, 2012 to obtain my RN license in the state of DE. I want to immediately endorse my license to NY. Can I begin the endorsement process as soon as i find out that I passed NCLEX....or do i have to wait until the state of DE sends me the actual license in the mail (which i heard can take a month or more!!)?
The only reason I am getting licensed in the state of DE first is because my professor told me in order to test for my NY license i need to have a current NY address and driver's license?
Also - do i need to have a current NY address and driver's license to begin the NY endorsement process? (I have looked at the NY forms and form #1 requests a NY driver's license #).
If anyone has any insight or experience with the endorsement process to NY I would greatly appreciate any help!
---Thanks

i endorsed my michigan rn license to new york in summer 2011 and did not need a new york address to do so.
On form 1 where it asks for a NY driver's license # did you leave it blank? Or just put your Michigan driver's license #?

Form 1 did not ask for a New York Driver ID when I applied. They've changed the form since then. Sorry!
