rug certification

has anyone taken this certification, im new to texas and accepted a position, but they want me to have this certification before starting?

Here is a description of the certification: This web-based training on the Minimum Data Set (MDS) - Resource Utilization Group (RUG) is intended for long-term care nurses and other providers of long-term care in an institutionalized setting, and for nurses and providers associated with the Department of Aging and Disability Services Community Programs. It is designed to provide the requirements for completing MDS assessments for Texas Medicaid payment.

Info is available at - http://www.txstate.edu/continuinged/professional-development/PD-Online/RUG-Training.html. It costs $40, but some employers have set up accounts, so you need to get that info from your employer if that is the case. The site is 'closed' from 12-19 to 12-30, so if you need to do it right away, you probably need to shake a leg.
