Has anyone used Rue and can say something good about it? I know it is more expensive, but some choose to not decrease hours at work to be able to study at home. Your response is very much appreciated.

I am using RUE along with the content guides from EC, the EC practice exams, and other resources that I feel may be pertinent. I just finished the A&P using RUE materials. They did a decent job with covering the necessary material. There were a couple of areas that I felt I wanted a little more info on that I turned to other resources for. I got an A on the final exam.
I just started NC1 and the RUE text is excellent. With that said...
There are other ways - and probably cheaper ways - to accomplish the required prep work for the EC exams. Everyone seems to have their own opinion.
RUE does require a contract. Read everything before signing - breaking the contract is not an option.
My reasons for going this route: My time is very valuable - I don't have a lot of free time for studying. I have a large family and work full-time. I also have tried the self-study courses in the past and realize I need some structure. I also want new, up-dated texts for the subjects I am taking, and texts are expensive if you buy new no matter where you buy them.
The RUE system provides a sense of a structured course, you are not just going through a content guide from EC and looking things up (I don't learn that way). They offer interest free financing for their materials. The texts are published in conjunction with Pearson Publishers as are the EC texts. And when compared to a conventional college degree/costs, it comes out about the same.
As for the contract that everyone seems to have a problem with...it's a contract. Don't sign it if you don't plan to follow through. I look at it as "now I got to finish my RN, I signed on the dotted line." Yep, its expensive, but so is a traditional college which is not an option for me. I could do it cheaper, but I prefer to stack the deck as much as I can in my favor. RUE isn't for everyone, and even for me it isn't all-inclusive...I am using every resource I can to guarantee I succeed.
Best of luck!

Hi :welcome:There I have bought all of my RUE materials from Ebay.
I am extremely happy with the books they put out. I got a B
on NC 1 and am using them for Micro right now. Check out Ebay and see what's out there. Good Luck!
