RSCC nursing students, HELP!! Please!

Hi, my name is Brittany. I spoke with my advisor today and am a little discouraged :( I have already turned in my application for next years program, I have taken all of my pre-reqs except A&P 1 (which I am taking right now), A&P2 (in the spring), and Micro (summer 2010). I have completed the rest of the pre-reqs with straight A's except Algebra and I made a B (2 points from an A.) Anyways, my advisor told me that I am at a disadvantage by not having all of my pre-reqs complete before the deadline in Jan. (so I will be missing A&P 2 and Micro.)

Can anyone tell me if they had all of their pre-reqs complete before/by the deadline? And can you give me any pointers for the pre-test? I am so afraid that if I don't get in next Fall, I'm not going to be able to hang on another year. I've been working on my pre-reqs for 3 years so far. Thanks for your help!!

It's not true. I had all of my prereqs done by my January application, with the exception of A&P2 and Micro which I took in the Spring. I was admitted. I had straight A's in all my sciences and a B in my Prob & Stats class. This means I had all my prereqs completed by the time nursing school started this semester. You would be in the same situation. You would have A&P1, your math and all other prereqs complete for your nursing application and you would be taking your A&P2 and Micro in the spring.

I would hate to take Micro or A&P while taking the nursing courses. That would be tough. Get all your prereqs done before nursing school starts, even if you have to take summer school.

Don't let them discourage you. Apply and take the entrance exam and wait. That's all you can do.

Thank You!! I am going to work my butt off to get an A in a&p :) Thanks for the help! How is your first week of nursing school going?

I'm wigging out a little bit, but I'm trying to stay positive. It will be hard and I will have absolutely no life for the next 2 years, but I'm going to do this. I'll make it.
