Routine Therapy Screening??

Looking to find out what you are doing in your facilities for PT/OT/ST Screening.

Our Restorative nurse screens residents for ROM concerns on admission and quarterly and as needed with new onset issues as reported by Staff.

Our onsite PT director want to start doing " routine" Screening of all residents on a quarterly basis.

Thoughts... What are your Practices??

Sometimes therapy sees something we do not "nurse think", it would benifit $s. If therapy did screenings quarterly like a month before quarterly MDS is due....then you would capture higher rug level and maybe some therapy mins.....just saying í ½í¸‰
