Hi any any acute dialysis nurse out there facing rotator cuff issues/surgery? I have  2  big tears in my dominant hand rotator cuff..  surgeon says if I don't have surgery doon I will need a shoulder replacement!   Anyone else ever dealt with this?   Thanks

No...but I had a repair on my labrum. I tore it at the gym, and just got back to work after 3 months off.

I work outpatient chemo which is manageable with a shoulder repair. if I worked inpatient I would've been in trouble because I'm still not at 100 percent function, and there is no way I would be able to pull patients up in the bed all day like this.

if you have this repair you will need several months to heal. and once you return to work you will still need to be cautious. I'm not going back to the gym to work my upper body for at least another 5 months.

all the best to you
