Rose State info

U.S.A. Oklahoma

Hey everyone, I have been reading through these threads for the past year and finally want to ask a question of my own. :typing I have been going to Rose and I am almost done with my prereqs :yeah: I want to go ahead and put in an application, even though I most likely will not get in yet without all my course points. My question basically is about the preference points. What is the cutoff normally? Is it different if I want to do the online program? And lastly, does anyone have any recommendations on how to improve my Writing score on the compass test? My reading and math scores were good, but that dang writing part, gets me everytime. Thanks everyone, I appreciate any help or information!:wink2:

Hey! I start at Rose on monday!!!! I just completed my LPN and am bridging in to the 3rd semester of the RN program. The pts system for the bridge are different than for the traditional so I don't think I can help with that part. I had 67pts. If it helps, I maxed out reading/writing, and just missed a bit on the math.

I do know for sure that the online option is the most sought after so typically those spots get taken first by those with the most points. However, you still have to be on campus for labs and obviously go to clinicals, so to me it really doesn't seem to save that much time (we only have 4hrs/wk of class time) The labs are on the same days as class so you still have to go to campus 2x per week, just as the rest of us. I have a few friends starting the online option with us, so I'll be interested to hear their take on it as we go through.

I say go ahead and apply because quite a few of us were wait listed initially but made it into the program quickly. Good luck to you!!!!
