I have been stressing myself out so bad over where i should attend school for nursing. Im a single mom of 3 and i work full time. I was accepted into an expensive private LPN school & was thinking about taking the chance but then i think, i would like to become an RN one day and those credits wont transfer. Also, after graduation i dont want to be broke like i am now with paying back that big school loan on LPN pay. I have somewhat decided to enroll for Spring at Rose State College for nursing but i have to start with pre-reqs since this will be my first time to attend college. Im not good in math and i know school is getting more expensive. Ive always wanted to be a nurse & really disappointed in myself that i am not one by now. Any advice of this program or anything is much appreciated.

Rose state is great. I just finished all of my pre reqs and applied for the spring semester nursing program. I do not have kids so that is an obstacle that I did not have to over come. My advice would be to take some easy pre reqs like med term, intro to psych, and maybe a history or government. If you have any more questions let me know.

I agree Rose State is great. My recommendation to you would be to take all the pre-reqs required, plus aim has high as you can on all three compass tests (pre-algebra, reading, and writing.) If you do all of this you should have no problem getting into the program.
