Rosalind Franklin University (RFU) MSN for Entry into Nursing Practice 2024

Published

Hi, has anyone applied here? or been accepted?

I saw FB group but it only had 2 people in it. I'm still going to join it. It's pretty pricey coming from the South and I still need to figure out how I'm going to pay for everything. Financial aid didn't give much unfortunately.

Is everyone getting their own place or open to roommates?

I have a husband, 2 kids and a dog so that's not possible for me LOL

LOL got it! If you find anywhere with decent housing please let me know!

okay, Do you happen to know how the classes are? I know they are on campus but do you know if they are hybrid? They recommended not working but it would be nice if I could. IDK if they choose our schedule or not. I forgot to ask during the interview.

They said it changes each quarter and all in person and they choose our schedule for us. Some of the girls said they worked but only 1 day per week.

Does anyone here remember the interview questions? Or what they focused on?

Hey Brenda, I just did my interview 2 weeks ago and was accepted the same day. But they were pretty easy questions like why Rosalind Franklin, why do you want to be a nurse and a few scenario questions. They were really nice and casual. I was accepted to start this Fall but something came up and they let be defer it to next Summer. Good Luck!

I just had my interview this morning and it was pretty straightforward! From what I can remember this is what I was asked:

  1. Why do you want to be a nurse?
  2. Why am I interested in Rosalind Franklin University?
  3. What are 3 qualities that you have that translate into the field of nursing?
  4. How do you deal with stress?
  5. How are you going to handle an accelerated program?
  6. Describe a situation in which you received negative feedback and how you handled it.
  7. Describe a time in which you advocated for diversity/inclusivity.

There may have been 1 more question that I can't remember but she told me they ask the same 6-8 questions to each applicant. Good luck to anyone who has an interview coming up!
