Hi all,
I am a junior nursing student and would like to ask a few nurses what they view their roles are as professional nurse. Do you think you are primarily an advocate, an educator, a caregiver, a combination of both? Can you give me an example of an experience you had portraying this role.
Thank you.

Hello, 07 student
In my everyday practice I intercede for all my patients when no one can. I take it upon myself to ensure they have the utmost care due them. Some are so lacking in their ability to speak for themselves and I attempt to be their advocate.
I provide every patient the necessary education to manage their condition. Sometimes this takes up more time than anything else I do for them.
I provide healthcare for a variety of patients, babies, children, teenagers, young adults, middle age, geriatrics, pregnancy..........and anything that goes between ......all dx .......
I am an FNP.......patient advocate, educator, caregiver. :balloons:
