Rockland Community College Sp 2012

Published

Hi, I am applying to Rockland Community College for Spring 2012. Is there anyone else applying here? Also, has anyone gone to this school recently? How was the experience? Thanks.

Hi Ally! I am currently taking nur 111 and plan on taking nur 113 in the fall, then I plan to double up in the spring....although, given how I'm balancing everything this semester I'm not sure how that will work! I work FT and have a family to take care of and it's not easy, but I'm doing it! Good luck!

Hello everyone! I just got my acceptance letter for spring 2013, I was wondering what are the housing options and how much are the living expenses roughly around the area? Since I am waiting for the Spring, is there any class i could take now?

any advice is much appreciated!:)

Hey! I was wondering hows the program going for you so far? I got accepted into Spring 2013 program, would you care to share some insights? how's the living costs?

Thank You!

Hi Shoegirlie! Good Luck to you as well!!

hey i was reading up on rockland and was wondering what scores you guys got on your nln, i did mines in may and got a 124 composite with a 93 in science 74 in english and 57 in math , kind of concerned those scores wont cut it . Any info would be appreciated thanks

Hello everyone am hoping to apply into RCC this fall. And its likely i would be commuting from Poughkeepsie to campus. I just wanted to know if its worth commuting or just finding an apartment around will be better

Also does RCC have students commuting on a daily basis from such areas

Nana Tayiba, there are a lot of people that go to RCC that commute from far away. While I haven't encountered anyone coming from Poughkeepsie, I've met several people coming from as far as Queens and I believe that's even farther away.

Also, I wanted to ask a question to those that are already in the Nursing program at RCC. What kind of scores did you get for the NLN PAX? I had applied for the Fall 2013 program and was rejected. The letter I got said that my composite score wasn't high enough. I got a 128. I applied again for Spring 2014 and I'm waiting for my letter now. I took the test again in April and scored a 142 composite score. I know it's a much better score, but I'm starting to get into a panic that the same thing is going to happen again LOL

I doubled up every semester except 1 and was working full-time. It's a heavy load but it can be done. Clinicals are done at Nyack Hospital and Good Sam, Rockland Psych, Summit Park and you will have to attend a few one day seminars and such. The professors are great and helpful.

I was wondering what you meant by doubling up in a semester. Were you able to take two semesters worth of clinicals in one semester?
