If you’re admitted to the LPN to RN route then all you need is to pass NUR 115(using nursing process) which is a new course starting fall 2019 and NUR 103(drug calculations)to progress into the next semester. After you pass NUR 115 you will be awarded 7.5 credits(Nur 111,113). For the regular route you will need NUR 111,NUR 113 and NUR 103. You can also text out of NUR 103 if you r good with drug calculations(a review is given and a calculator is allowed).
Unless you r very very very smart pls don’t, nursing courses alone are HARD n requires constant studying. I will recommend you take your prerequisites during summer or winter session. Like me for instance,I need chemistry for fall 2019 so I’m taking it now during summer session so that I can only focus on my nursing classes coming fall 2019. Remember the goal is not to only pass the class with a C+ I’m looking for at least an A- or a B+ and also you need more time to really understand the material which at the end will make you a great nurse.

I agree fully. I only took 111 this semester and I passed by the skin of my teeth. I would have cried if I had to take 113 along with 111 and calculations (which I have to retake this summer because silly me messed up with the date of the final and there was no makeup - READ YOUR SYLLABUS!!!)
To me just starting out please do not take 111 with 113 and A+P 2. My advice would be just to take 111 and take 113 next semester. If you want to double up go ahead, but it is VERY hard (especially if you work). Take A+P 2 in the summer. I took most of my pre-req classes prior to the nursing classes. The only ones I have left are English 102 which I'm taking in summer 1 now, and Microbiology which I plan to take next summer.
Congrats on getting into the program!
Thank you so much for the advice. It's nice to know that we can support one another. I know that I'm just starting this journey but if I can help on any way, please feel free to let me know. I did both English classes, Chem105, A&P I and statistic (math is my thing) and I'm taking psychology during Summer I.

Hope all is well. I'm looking for advise on purchasing the books. I just got the list for Nur 111 and 113 and it has like 8 books listed. ?♀️
Thank you in advance.
I know. When I saw that book list I had a mini stroke. Keep in mind that for the most part you will be using the same books for both 111 and 113 with exception of the drug guide which is only in 113 (If they haven't changed anything). The only book I barely touched was the management book. In 111 I only had to read it like once - but it is used through the program in various classes, so I suggest you buy it.
What I did was enlist my friends and family to help me offset the cost. Instead of Christmas gifts everyone brought me things I need for the program. I made it as an amazon wish list. Almost every book you can buy used with the exception of the Checklist book. You need that brand new or unwritten in because that's how they log you when you test your skills. As for the DVD, I'll PM you...

Thank you. I was confused. Also, I have been talking to people who are already in the program and they are telling me not to take A & P II with Nursing 111 and 113. Any recommendations or comments on that?
