I have applied to both Roane State's Nursing program and Pellissippi's Nursing program. I was accepted into RS's in 2005 and had to back out after my first semester due to issues with my rotation and my pregnancy. I have an Associate's of Science and I am currently retaking my science courses (since they are +5 years old) my GPA is 3.8. As in most everything except college algebra © and Prob & Stats (B) and maybe one or two other Bs but not in the required classes. I have 80 credit hours of completed courses. I'm hoping to get into one of these programs but I have heard that even those with 4.0s are put on a wait list at RSCC. If you have insight, I have some questions. My questions are:
Does anyone have feedback on either program?
What are the number of applicants selected in each program/year?
If you were a student in either program, what did you like/dislike about it? Do you feel satisfied with the education and training you received?
What do you wish you would have known before you entered the program? Any regrets?
Did any of you work full time while going to school? Have children and work?
What expenses did you incur in the program?

I was in the same boat last year. Applied and accepted at both. I chose Pellissippi and I'm so glad I did! I love the program here and just completed my first year. The instructors and facility are great. I've learned a lot and have enjoyed the process! Good luck to you all!
