Are RN first assistants utilized in the Air Force (or any branch)? Would a certification in RNFA mean anything in the military?

The only branch that I know that utilizes RNFAs is the Army. As far as I know the AF doesn't recognize or utilize RNFAs.

Specializes in ICU, ER, OR, FNP.

We don’t use First Assists in the USAF – ever. The resident is the assistant and if it’s not a training facility, the FA is the scrub tech. USAF nurses in the OR count rags and needles.
