RNFA in the military

Are RN first assistants utilized in the Air Force (or any branch)? Would a certification in RNFA mean anything in the military?

Thank you ahead of time. It is often hard to find someone who knows the answer when you do not know many military nurses personally.:)

The only branch that I know that utilizes RNFAs is the Army. As far as I know the AF doesn't recognize or utilize RNFAs.

We don’t use First Assists in the USAF – ever. The resident is the assistant and if it’s not a training facility, the FA is the scrub tech. USAF nurses in the OR count rags and needles.
