I am a new nurse resident with a newborn and My manager is making me mentally weak. She keep making weird comments, there have been no conversation without her using phrases like “this is so frustrating” or “ this is so disappointing”. Recently, I had a workplace injury and got checked by hospital’s physician where he said “light duty”. So my manager asked if I can come to work the next day, since it said light duty. I told her that I am in so much of pain that I cannot come to work at least tomorrow. Then she messaged me to send pictures of my injury. There have been lot of weird statements from her that is making me extremely sick. I am on 2 yr contract and I don’t feel safe going there. What should I do?

She had no right to ask for pictures of your injury or to dispute the opinion of a physician regarding his/her recommendation of light duty. If you're still working there and your supervisor is continuing to make you uncomfortable, I would speak with her about it tactfully. If that doesn't work, speak with one of her superiors. If that doesn't work, find a new job. A 2 yr contract is not worth your mental wellbeing.
