RN (Philippines) RN(HAAD RN(Ireland), have CGFNS-CES, wants to be RN Canada

Published

Hello!

I am a Philippine trained RN. I worked there for 3 years. Then I wrote the RN and Ambulance Nurse Licensure exam for Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) in United Arab Emirates. I passed the exam and work there for over four years. Last year, I wrote the exam to be a RN in Ireland. Again, I was successful. I am now working here in Ireland. I have a CGFNS - CES Professional report. I’m now working here in Ireland.

However, I have family in Ontario, Canada. I’m hoping to join them. Do you know what should I do next if I want to transfer to Canada? Interns of immigration and registration for RN.

Since I have CGFNS evaluation, I’m wondering if how will that affect the NNAS? Will it have any affect? Or do I still need to be assessed by NNAS?

I took IELTS but it’s not high enough to be qualified for express entry.

Thank you so much!

Canada uses NNAS not CGFNS although I do believe it is the same company. I would try and increase your opportunity through express entry as CNO are notoriously slow due to high volume of applications plus NNAS is also slow with average processing times of 8-12 months

Good to know. Thanks a lot. Which category in express entry I should take? Are there any provincial nominee program for nurses in Ontario? Can I apply as LPN? Would that be easier?

I can’t speak for PNP programs but finding job full time to meet work permit requirements will more than likely be difficult and no employer will look at you unless you have completed registration or at least have the OK to sit NCLEX.
