Hi there!
I too interviewed for a position at an assisted living facility in new york (manhattan) and i got a call back for a second interview, also to do a physical and fill out last paperwork. The lady was very nice to me and congratulated me on hiring, as she said it was tough for people to find a job now. ( i was so happy i jumped for joy!) We hadn't discussed salary yet, so i don't know what the pay rate is, but i hope it is decent (although i must say i am desperate for a job and will actually accept close to anything right now!)
I have the appointment tomorrow, so i was just researching the role of an Rn in assisted living, and it seems more leaning towards managerial/administrative work, with the lpn doing meds. I must say that i am totally fine with that! i worked for a couple of nursing homes and i didnt really like it. the nurse/patient ratio was immense. 1 lpn to 42 residents (sometimes 50 on a nice day ) so i know how hard it is to have to do a med pass on alot of patients.
Good luck on your second interview, and who knows, we may even be talking about the same place!
take care,
sleyk

Hi Everyone,
I am an RN (BSN) with 6 months of nursing home experience. I was interviewed last week at an Assisted Living Facility in NYC. I just got called in today to go for a second interview in a few days. My question is, how much I should expect to be paid at such a facility in NYC?
Thank you to all that respond :)
